Dear Friend of TVC: We just returned from the congressional hearing on the homosexual/transgender employment bill (HR 2015, ENDA), where the homosexual witnesses outnumbered our witnesses 9 to 2. This type of unbalanced hearing is the result of a Democrat-controlled Congress. ENDA makes a person’s changeable “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” into federally-protected minorities. Gender identity refers to individuals who have what’s known in psychiatry as a Gender Identity Disorder. They think they’re the opposite sex! These troubled individuals need therapy, not minority status under the law. One will impact businesses and the other will impact religious organizations! FIRST, this legislation will force private sector employers across America to hire cross-dressers, transgenders, she-males, and many other people with bizarre sexual practices. This bill brings sexual behavior into the workplace or be sued for discrimination. How will a company deal with a she-male? These are usually men who undergo HALF of a sex-change operation. They are female from the waist up and male from the waist down! Should a business or Christian organization have to hire one of these individuals? ENDA will give minority status under federal law to “sexual orientation” and to A person’s sexual orientation can include sexual attraction to children, animals, feet, and a whole range of bizarre behaviors that are listed in the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). In fact, there are 30 sexual orientations listed in the DSM. The list reads like something out of a Frank Miller graphic novel.
SECOND, ENDA will violate religious freedom. But the real purpose is to silence people of faith. It ostensibly provides a “religious exemption” for denominations or organizations operated by denominations – but not other non-profit Christian or other religious organizations. This is a phony religious exemption. In the church it will probably only protect the Pastor and does not protect any other staff or volunteers. A Christian school, for example, would probably not be exempt under ENDA because its primary purpose is education, not the teaching or spreading of religious doctrine. A Christian day care center would not be exempt from ENDA; nor any Christian-owned for-profit business such as a Bible or book publisher. The battle to fight off the homosexual and transgender agenda continues on Capitol Hill – and TVC continues to play a key leadership role in fighting the normalization and legalization of bizarre sexual behaviors in the workplace. We need your help to win this battle! If we lose, Christian-owned businesses, as well as, non-profits will be forced to hire or accommodate cross-dressers, she-males, and drag queens! If ENDA passes, religious freedom will die in America – and the lawyers will have a field day filing multi-million dollar lawsuits against Christian book publishers or the Boy Scouts if they refuse to hire a cross-dresser. “gender identity.” What do these terms mean? “Sexual orientation” is a flexible term that refers to a person’s sexual desires toward another individual or object. It can change over time. 
“Gender identity” is also a flexible term. It refers to what a person “thinks” about himself or herself. Transgender activists claim that the federal government should provide them with specially-protected minority status because of how they “feel” about their gender. What gender identity actually refers to is what psychiatrists call a Gender Identity Disorder (GID). This is a mental condition that afflicts some individuals. These men and women think they’re trapped in opposite sex bodies and must either dress in opposite sex clothing or engage in one of the worst forms of self-hatred – damaging their bodies by having them mutilated by surgical procedures.
