Senate Resolution to Overturn Proposition 8 to
be Voted on February 24th!!!

Help Us Flood Committee Members with Calls & Emails Today!!

TVC Supporters:

We only have 24 hours to voice our support for Proposition 8 and stop the Senate Resolution aimed to help reverse it.

This Tuesday, February 24th, a vote on Senate Resolution 7 to overturn Proposition 8 will be held in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

This resolution is being pushed by homosexual Democrat Mark Leno of San Francisco. Leno and his fellow homosexual marriage advocates are adamant to strike down Prop 8 and shred the results of the last election. Even he says so arrogantly. He recently told the press that he thinks “it is very appropriate that the Legislature make a statement [against the voter’s approving Prop 8].”

Just like before, we need every voter that supported Prop 8 and that mobilized others to once again take an active stand for one man/one woman marriage.

SR 7 would make it state policy to invalidate Proposition 8! It actually encourages the State Supreme Court to overturn the vote of the people and reinstitute their prior ruling that legalized homosexual marriages.

The will of over 7 million California voters that passed Prop 8 would be ignored and voided!

Also, House Resolution 5, the very same measure proposed in the State Assembly, is now before the full body and can be voted on any day now. You will need to contact your State Assembly member directly and ask them to oppose HR 5.

Here is what we need you to do today:

  1. Flood members of the Senate Judiciary Committee with phone calls and emails!

We challenge TVC supporters to jam the phone lines of legislators!! They must know that the public is opposed to undermining Prop 8.

  2. Contact your State Assembly Member and ask that they oppose HR 5.
Contact your State Senator and ask that they oppose SR 7.
You can do so conveniently by clicking here.

Please take action today!

SENATE RESOLUTION 7: (by Leno (D)):
HOUSE RESOLUTION 5: (by Ammiano (D)):
Overturn Prop 8 & Traditional Marriage

On November 4, 2008 the voters of California passed Proposition 8, an amendment to the state constitution that declares: “Only marriage between one man and one woman is valid or recognized in California.”

Yet, homosexual Democrats have declared war on Proposition 8 and on traditional marriage. Homosexual activist groups everywhere are backing the underhanded and sleazy attempts to invalidate Proposition 8 and support the efforts in the courts to strike from the Constitution.

The State Supreme Court will hear legal challenges to Prop 8 that homosexual groups have filed. This is the same court that ruled in mid 2008 that homosexual marriages were legal. And the very same people elected to represent the will of the voters are now trying everything they can to undo what their constituents approved.

Over 7 million voters approved Prop 8, yet homosexual politicians think they know better and want to ignore the will of the voters!

Homosexual activists are using any means they can to force homosexual marriage on the people of California. They are claiming that Prop 8 is a complete revision of the state constitution and not just a simple amendment dealing with marriage. This is absurd!!

What the voters approved was a one sentence statement declaring marriage for one man and one woman and it only amended one part of the constitution!!

But here is what they want the state to declare: The Assembly/Senate “opposes Proposition 8 because it is an improper revision, not an amendment, of the California Constitution and was not enacted according to the procedures required by Article XVIII of the California Constitution.”

HR 5 and SR 7 not only ask the Legislature to oppose Prop 8, they actually encourage giving increased power to the courts to overturn the will of the voters!!

Two times in less than 10 years, California voters have reaffirmed their support for one man/one woman marriage. Now, homosexual activists are desperate to try to strip voters of their say yet again. We must stop SR 7 and HR 5!!
