Republican Scott Brown Takes Mass. Senate Seat!

By TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty

Republican Scott Brown Takes Mass. Senate Seat!January 20, 2010 – On January 19, the voters in Massachusetts – one of the most liberal states in the nation – voted for Republican Scott Brown to take the seat held by Ted Kennedy in the Senate for more than 40 years. Brown is filling the remaining Kennedy term that expires in 2013.

The arrogant and out-of-touch Democrat, Martha Coakley, was soundly defeated. Obama’s campaign speech on her behalf – where he ridiculed Brown’s GM truck – was probably the capper for many independents who were on the fence.

Coakley’s campaign was supported by the pro-abortion group Emily’s List, which spent $250,000 on radio ads during the end of the campaign.

The blame-game has already begun among Democrats over her defeat – when victory seemed sure just a month ago.

A Coakley operative has released a memo that blames her defeat on the national Democratic Party and White House for not fully supporting her. The Democrat leadership is claiming that Coakley was a simply a bad candidate.

What the Democrats won’t admit is that voters in Massachusetts were voting against Obama! Independents and even Democrats voted for Brown. This campaign wasn’t just about Brown versus Coakley, it was about Obama’s nationalized health care plan, his dishonesty, and all of the liberal shenanigans going on in the House and Senate. Chicago-style politics has taken over the legislative branch.

Virginia Senator Jim Webb has already stated that no vote on health care should be taken until Brown is seated in the Senate.

American’s are disgusted by the Al Capone in the White House and his goon squad led by a Frank Nitti character named Rahm Emanuel.

Fortunately, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has just seen his 60-vote majority evaporate – which means Obama’s socialist plans to destroy our health care system are in jeopardy.

Don’t count on an easy victory over health care. President Capone and his gang have a lot riding on nationalizing health care.

They also know that this coming November, many of their operatives in the Congress are going to be fired by an outraged electorate.

The “D” you see next to the names of the likes of Harry Reid and perhaps even Barbara Boxer may mean “Done” in November. Bye bye Harry and Barbara. Your days are numbered.

It is likely that this stinging defeat in the liberal Mecca – and former Kennedy stronghold – will change the behavior of some of the more rational Democrats in the Senate and House.

The Democrats have been acting like a bunch of wild cowboys in town after a long cattle drive. They’re spending money – your money – like there’s no tomorrow and are drunk on power. The knowledge that they may lose their cushy jobs in November may sober them up. They need a good dunking in a horse trough to shake them back into reality.

Watch for Senate Democrats to stall his swearing in.

The Brown victory is good for America and yet another wake up call for the mob-like thugs who inhabit the Executive Branch. We still have a Republic and the vote still counts – every vote.
