December 2, 2009 – Last night, in front of hundreds of student-soldiers at West Point, President Barack Hussein Obama outlined a clear strategy for military defeat in Afghanistan.

Obama stood on sacred ground where General Douglas MacArthur told an audience of West Point cadets in 1962, “In war, there is no substitute for victory.”

President Obama stood in front of West Point students and told them that all American troops must be pulled out of Afghanistan in July 2011. The word “victory” apparently isn’t in Obama’s vocabulary. This is convenient for the Taliban and Al Qaeda. I’m sure they jotted down this helpful deadline in their day timers.

The war, says Obama, must be ended because it’s just too darned expensive. And, because he wants to spend money on stuff at home – like two trillion dollars to create a government-run health care system that most Americans don’t want.

In addition, Obama told the West Pointers that he wants to rid the world of nuclear weapons.  Dumping our nuclear arsenal and cancelling weapons systems already under development and R&D on new systems will simply make the world safer for Iran, North Korea, China, and other nations that hate America and want to wipe us from the face of the earth. As candidate Obama, he promised to disarm our nation. He’s busy doing it.

Obama also told the West Pointers that America “must promote our values by living them at home – which is why I have prohibited torture and will close the prison at Guantanamo Bay.” Yes, he is closing a multi-million dollar state-of-the-art facility in Cuba to house the most vicious terrorist killers on the planet, so he can move them into prisons in Illinois or elsewhere so these federal prisons can become targets of Islamic terrorists on our own soil. This is crazy talk and subversive of our national security.

Novice-in-Chief Obama at West Point has just given the enemies of freedom a great speech and much encouragement for their efforts to destroy democracy and our way of life. I suspect the West Pointers were not amused or encouraged by Obama’s strategy for defeat – especially when they know that many of them will be sent to Afghanistan to take part in his plans for retreat in 2011.
