Angry Homosexual Activists Assault Senior Citizen In Palm Springs Protest
November 13, 2008 – Dozens of angry, shouting homosexuals gathered around a woman in Palm Springs on November 8 and ripped a Styrofoam cross from her hands and then stomped on it during a protest against passage of Proposition 8 in California.Phyllis Burgess showed up at the homosexual rally at City Hall to show support for Proposition 8, which passed on November 4. Prop. 8 adds a marriage amendment to the California Constitution. It defines marriage as a one-man, one-woman union.
Burgess was immediately surrounded by angry homosexuals and was pushed through the crowd. A KPSP TV crew was on site to capture the attack against her. A reporter for KPSP was shouted down as well when she tried to interview Burgess after the assault. The video shows the violence, intolerance and hatred directed against this peaceful protester.
The hate-filled protest in Palm Springs began at City Hall and ended at the Mormon Temple. Homosexual activists are angry because the Mormon Church supported passage of Proposition 8 with donations and workers.
“This chilling video shows very clearly how intolerant homosexuals are when they don’t get their way,” said TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty.
