TVC Is Effective In Stopping The Homosexual Agenda
June 23, 2005 – A University of Massachusetts sociology professor, Janice M. Irvine, has recently published a study of “anti-gay” groups and how they use the Internet to communicate with their supporters. Irvine has a long history of bashing Christians and conservatives. She authored Talk About Sex, a book that attacks social conservatives for opposing explicit sex education in public schools. Her latest study was funded by a $6,000 grant from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and published in Sexuality & Research: Journal of National Sexuality Resource Center.(This organization is dedicated to attacking abstinence education and promoting explicit non-judgmental sex education to our nation’s children.According to a report in the homosexual newspaper, Southern Voice, “The most ambitious anti-gay campaign of any of the Web sites she sampled was the ‘Urban Legend Series’ of the Traditional Values Coalition, Irvine said.”
Says Irvine: “I think we’re at the early moment of these organizations using Web sites, and the scary thing is that it means they will widen the access to just hate literature. They have the potential to really widen their audience.”
The National Sexuality Resource Center is hosting a conference in San Francisco this week (June 21-25) on “Sexual Rights And Moral Panics.” The theme is that any opposition to homosexuality or premarital sex is a “moral panic” and violates the rights of human beings to engage in whatever sex practices they wish. Biblical morality is thus equated with a “panic” condition.
