Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) Threatens the Practice of Religion & Our Nation’s Children
November 24, 2009 – The House may be voting on passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) as soon as early December before the Christmas recess. Only grassroots action can protect religious liberty. (Forward To A Friend)
ENDA is a direct assault on the constitutionally guaranteed free exercise of religion. This means that you can have a belief in your heart but not practice it.
It is key legislation favored by the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) lobby to gain federally-protected minority status for sexual behaviors that most Americans consider bizarre or abnormal.
ENDA (S. 1584) will force all businesses, schools, and other enterprises in America with 15 or more employees to submit to the LGBT political agenda. Read More...

Chai Feldblum Is Long-Time Supporter Of Polyamory – Multiple Sex Partners
November 24, 2009 – During her confirmation hearing last week, lesbian lawyer Chai Feldblum was asked by Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) about her support of polygamy and why she signed a petition by BeyondMarriage that supports polyamory (multiple sex partners – both male and female – in relationships.
Feldblum denied that she supports polygamy and told Harkin it was a mistake for her to have signed the BeyondMarriage petition.
Feldblum may not support polygamy, but she is a long-time supporter of polyamory, which is even more troublesome. Polygamy is typically one man with many wives. Polyamory is many men and women all engaged in sex acts.
Chai Feldblum outlines her views on traditional marriage, gay marriage and other forms of relationships in her paper, “Gay Is Good: The Moral Case For Marriage Equality And More.” Read More...

Reid ‘Health Care’ Reform Bill Increases Premiums by $3,100 Yearly and Funds Abortion!
November 24, 2009 – Senator Harry Reid’s (D-NV) 2,074-page health care bill will increase family health insurance premiums by an average of $3,100 a year, according to new figures released by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).
The CBO says that an average family plan will increase by 28% under the Reid bill – from $11,000 per family to $14,100 per family. In addition, a family of four with an income of $54,000 will pay 17% more of its income for premiums and cost sharing in Reid’s government-run health care legislation.
Reid’s bill will end up costing the American taxpayer $2.5 trillion and leave families with higher health care costs. “Reid’s legislative takeover of health care costs Americans $1.2 billion per page or $6.8 million per word!,” said TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty. “And what do we get for it? Socialized medicine and higher health care costs!” Read More...

Obama's radical choice causes commotion
By Pete Chagnon - OneNewsNow - 11/23/2009 -
The Obama administration has nominated yet another controversial individual.
Activist attorney Chai Feldblum has been nominated to fill a position on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Her nomination caught the attention of the Traditional Values Coalition. TVC executive director Andrea Lafferty explains why her organization is concerned.
"[Feldblum] signed onto a statement called 'Beyond Marriage,' and it's a radical statement that some people have inaccurately described... as supporting polygamy," says Latterty. "It is not polygamy that she supports, but polyamory." Read More...

EEOC Nominee Chai Feldblum Hides Bizarre Views
By TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty
November 19, 2009 – Chai Feldblum, the activist lawyer who has been nominated for a post on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, (EEOC) just finished her testimony before the Senate Health, Education, Labor And Pensions Committee.
Traditional Values Coalition has been warning that Feldblum’s confirmation to the EEOC will be a steppingstone to the U.S Supreme Court where she will have a lifetime appointment.
Proving our point, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) introduced Feldblum to the Committee. In his introduction of her, he laid the foundation with his description of her as having an “unsurpassed judicial temperament” --- an odd way to describe a non-judicial nominee.
I was at the hearing and listened to her deliberately lie and omit facts about her long-term support of a union of three or more individuals to Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA). Read More...

EEOC Nominee Ghostwrites New Liberty Into the Constitution Violates the Free Exercise of Religion
November 19, 2009 – Traditional Values Coalition strongly opposes the nomination of Chai Feldblum to become a Commissioner on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Feldblum has published numerous legal papers that clearly show her out-of-mainstream views on the First Amendment and religious liberty. If confirmed to the EEOC, Feldblum will use her power to strip nearly all First Amendment rights of free exercise of religion from Christian business owners. She would exploit her position on the EEOC to use the force of government to change the social norms of private institutions.
Feldblum has spent her entire career working to impose the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) agenda on America. Feldblum earned a B.A. from Barnard College and a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1985. She currently teaches gay/gender law at Georgetown University Law School. She formerly worked as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun; legislative council for the AIDS Project of the American Civil Liberties Union; served as legal director for the Campaign for Military Service; founded the Workplace Flexibility 2010 project; and the Moral Values Project. All of her efforts have been directed at promoting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender sexual behaviors as “good” and to force Americans to affirm these sexual activities. Read More...

Government-Run Health Care Bill Hits Senate
November 11, 2009 -- Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her socialist allies in the House rammed through a $1.2 trillion nationalized health care bill late Saturday night. The vote was 220-215. Democrats needed 218 to pass the bill. It only actually won by 2 votes.
PelosiCare will nationalize our health care system. As written, her 2,000 page bill increases taxes on all Americans, reduces coverage for seniors on Medicare, creates a “public option” that will eventually drive out private health insurance altogether, and creates 118 new federal bureaucracies. PRESS STATEMENT: “Health Care Bill Still Bad Medicine for America”
By Andrea Lafferty, Executive Director
November 9, 2009 – Washington, DC – This is not a good news/bad news story. This is a little good news buried in a lot of really bad news.
Our efforts to get pro-life language into the monstrous Pelosicare bill paid off. In the final hours before the vote, Pelosi and the other pro-aborts in the Democratic leadership were cornered, and they begrudgingly allowed a vote on the Stupak amendment, which passed. Your calls, faxes, e-mails paid off. They needed pro-life Democrats to get their slim margin of victory.
So we can celebrate that small victory, but don’t get too involved in celebrating because there is lots to work on and pray about. Read More...

TVC Chairman Joins Thousands Against PelosiCare

November 5, 2009 – TVC Chairman Rev. Louis P. Sheldon joined with dozens of conservative U.S. Representatives and at least 10,000 concerned citizens in front of the Capitol Building today to protest Nancy Pelosi’s proposed nationalization of our health care system.
“This rally was a warning shot to Nancy Pelosi and other socialists in Congress that Americans don’t want nationalized health care,” said TVC Chairman Rev. Louis P. Sheldon. “I was honored to be among so many patriotic Americans who are demanding an end to this effort to destroy the finest health care system in the world.”
Some of the speakers at the rally included actor Jon Voight, House Republican Leader John Boehner (OH), House Republican Whip Eric Cantor (VA), Louie Gohmert (TX) and dozens of other legislators who urged voters to stand fast against passage of PelosiCare – a monstrous 1,990-page bill that will cost an estimated $1.2 trillion.
