March 15, 2010 – While most Americans were getting ready for bed on Sunday night, the House Budget Committee posted a new 2,309-page health care bill on its web site. Mark up of this massive bureaucratic monstrosity begins at 3 p.m. EST today.

The bill is being considered a “shell” reconciliation bill. It will apparently be loaded up with all sorts of liberal schemes, including a government-run public insurance plan that was removed from the Senate version. The public insurance section is on page 1167 of this “new” health care bill.

The “shell” legislation will be used to impose nationalized health care on all Americans – in spite of the fact that most Americans don’t want it.

There is still unprecedented abortion funding in this legislation.

March 12, 2010 --  Late in the day on Friday, Politico reported that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Democrats that they should brace for a vote on health care as early as next week. She told them Obama would be present for the passage of nationalized health care.

President Obama has delayed a foreign policy trip to stay in Washington, D.C. to push for nationalized health care. In addition, Democrats are fighting among themselves over various versions of health care reform – and Republicans are vowing to fight tooth and nail to defeat the takeover of our health care system.

Democrats are devising deceitful ways to get a bill passed even if it means violating the Constitution. We’ve moved from Congress voting on bills they haven’t read to declaring bills to be law when no one has voted on it.

Atheist Loses Again On Pledge

March 12, 2010 – God-hater Michael Newdow was dealt a defeat by the 9th Circuit Court in San Francisco today.

In 2002, a 9th Circuit panel ruled in favor of Newdow in his claim that the words “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance were a violation of the separation of church and state.

Now, in a 2-1 panel ruling, Judge Carlos Bea has determined that the Pledge, with “under God” is constitutional. 

March 12, 2010 – The Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force (VAST) protested an appearance before the Virginia General Assembly by a radical imam from the 9/11 mosque in Falls Church, VA.

The Traditional Values Coalition is an active member of the Virginia-based task force.

Twelve legislators boycotted the prayer after VAST complained that the imam, Johari Abdul-Malik, had defended several convicted terrorists who had connections to his mosque.

March 12, 2010 – While most Americans are focused on defeating Obama’s plan to nationalize our health care system, the President has been quietly working behind the scenes to engineer another federal takeover.

This time, he’s targeting America’s waterways for seizure by the federal government.

First it was our financial institutions, then it was General Motors. Currently he’s working for complete control of our health care system. Now, he wants control over our water.

March 12, 2010 – A poll released on Monday finds that the majority of Americans think our standing in the world has diminished since Obama took office. They also believe that Democrats are weak on national security issues.

The Democracy-Corps-Third Way poll finds 51% to 41% think America’s standing has dropped during the first 13 months of Obama’s presidency.

In addition, the poll found that 50% of Americans think Republicans are better on national security, compared to 33% who think Democrats are.

March 12, 2010 – A provision to be added to ObamaCare will result in the federal takeover of the student loan program, according to The Hill newspaper. It is estimated that 35,000 jobs will be destroyed if the federal government loans directly to students instead of through private companies that currently service the loans.

The takeover, if enacted, will make a college education into a federal entitlement program and a “right.”

ObamaCare is already turning health care into a constitutional right instead of a personal choice. Obama’s goal seems to be to convert education into a new “right” that is to be funded with American tax dollars and new bureaucracies.

March 11, 2010 – This week has been disastrous for President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and the gays-in-the-military agenda. Their efforts to change American culture remain in freefall – and now they must do damage control over Eric Massa, the lecher who enjoys “tickling” his congressional aides.

The drama-rama surrounding Massa has shown the American people first hand why lifting the ban on gays in the military is a bad idea.

The ex-Congressman from New York is now the new poster child for upholding the 1993 law banning gays and lesbians from serving in the military. His former Navy colleagues are coming out of hiding to expose his decades-long habit of trying to seduce his subordinates – known as “snorkeling” in the Navy.

March 9, 2010 - Washington, D.C. - Today, Traditional Values Coalition announced the launch of the www.endahurtskids.com campaign. The so-called Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) will force every public school in America to hire transgendered teachers and forbid their re-assignment out of the classroom.

The campaign includes an online petition to Congress opposing ENDA.

TVC has launched the www.endahurtskids.com campaign, to warn parents about the chaos ENDA will bring into our children’s classroom.

Under ENDA, every state, local government and business with 15 or more employees will be forced to employ and affirm she-males – including school teachers.

Americans overwhelmingly oppose "reconciliation" to ram through government-run health care - but Democrats don't care

March 4, 2010 - President Barack Obama has claimed that most Americans don't care about the "process" of getting health care passed. He's wrong. A Gallup Poll on February 25, revealed that 52% of Americans oppose using reconciliation to ram through socialized medicine.

Americans care about the legislation - they don't want it - and they care about how Democrats are ramming it down their throats. (In addition, a CNN poll on February 26 revealed that 56% of Americans say the federal government poses an immediate threat to individual rights and freedom.)

Recently, I attended a Senate panel hearing on President Obama’s plan to abolish the policy and a federal law that prevents gays from serving openly in the military.

The policy is called “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) and it was created by President Bill Clinton in 1993. The policy, however, is different than the law Congress passed under Clinton. The law actually forbids gays from serving in the military – but under Clinton’s DADT, it has never been effectively implemented.

March 4, 2010 – “Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) is one of the few Senators who has always seen through the “global warming” hype. He’s faced ridicule in the mainstream media for his science-based views, but he now has the last laugh,” said TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty.

“The Climategate emails posted on the Internet in November 2009 have shown conclusively that most of the highly praised “climate scientists” are frauds who faked data and suppressed opposing viewpoints. The goal was to push a global governance agenda – regardless of the facts.

“Sen. Inhofe has recently released a lengthy report on these Climategate emails, and he is calling for the federal government to bring criminal charges against the scientists who engaged in fraud. Much of climate research is funded by the U.S.

March 3, 2010 - Today's House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel hearing concerns the repeal of the misnamed ‘Don't Ask, Don't Tell' (DADT) policy and 1993 law on gays and lesbians in the military.

TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty has issued the following statement on this hearing and the efforts of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) movement to undermine our military:

“The current ‘Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy, created by President Clinton in 1993, undermined the 1993 federal law, which held that openly serving gays and lesbians were detrimental to the Armed Forces. The law says that gays and lesbians can't serve. The Pentagon cannot violate a federal law.

February 26, 2010 – President Barack Obama convened his health care summit yesterday morning at the Blair House across the street from the White House. Obama had clearly intended for this approximate 8 hour infomercial to be a win for his plan to nationalize health care, but Republicans turned the tables and very effectively communicated to the American people why and how the Obama Care plan will bankrupt us.

February 24, 2010 – Republican leaders are challenging President Obama to be truly bipartisan and listen to their free market ideas for health care reform.

In addition, Republican leaders have asked that state governors be permitted to attend the health care summit tomorrow, but have been rebuffed. States will face millions of dollars in unfunded mandates through ObamaCare. The governors should be involved in these decisions.

Rep. John Boehner (OH), House Republican leader is concerned that the health care summit will just be a six-hour infomercial for ObamaCare. He thinks the House and Senate should just start over with a blank sheet of paper to reform health care.
