CLINIC: Good afternoon. Planned Parenthood. How may I help you?

CALLER: Hi.

CLINIC: Hi.

CALLER: I was wondering if you guys do abortions there?

CLINIC: Yes, we do. Have you had a pregnancy test done anywhere yet, or just a home pregnancy?

CALLER: No.

CLINIC: Other than a home pregnancy or --

CALLER: No.

CLINIC: Okay, the first thing you would do, you'd need to come in and do your pregnancy test, and we can talk to you about options and tell you, let you know what your options are and then talk to you about the procedure.

CALLER: Okay. Well --

CLINIC: The first thing to do is to come in for your pregnancy test.

CALLER: Okay. Well, could I ask you? My friend told me like -- like, well I'm going to be 14 in March, and she said that you guys would have to tell my parents I'm getting an abortion. But my boyfriend's 22. Is that old enough to take care of it and you wouldn't have to tell anybody?

CLINIC: No. Everything's confidential here. We will not tell anybody anything, not even him.

CALLER: Really?

CLINIC: Nobody. Everything's between you and us.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Well, it's just I don't want my parents to know at all, so they can't find out.

CLINIC: No, no. I understand. I understand. No, they won't. They won't find out.

CALLER: Okay. I just --

CLINIC: Everything here is confidential. What's done between you and our clinic is confidential. We don't tell anybody other than yourself anything.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: My boyfriend could bring me in for a pregnancy test. Is that okay? When could I be there for that?

CLINIC: I'm sorry? Okay, you can come in today until 6:00 or you can come in tomorrow between 8:00 and 5:00.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Walk-in. There's no appointment for that.

CALLER: Then what happens after that?

CLINIC: Then we talk to you when you come in.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: We'll talk to you when you come in and go through your options of what you would like done.

CALLER: Okay. It's just I haven't had a period since like December 21st, and I'm scared, so.

CLINIC: Right, so you need to, you definitely need to get in for a pregnancy test. Okay?

CALLER: Okay. Well, if it turned out that I wasn't pregnant, do you guys do birth control there?

CLINIC: Yes, we do.

CALLER: But would you have to tell anybody about that though?

CLINIC: No, about anything that's like it's anything that's done here is confidential between you and us. It's a clinic here. We don't tell anybody anything that calls in or even walks up to our window without your consent.

CALLER: Oh, all right. Well, thanks. That makes me feel a lot better.

CLINIC: You're welcome.

CALLER: What -- if I had any other questions could I call and talk to you? What was your name?

CLINIC: My name is Arlene, but any of us would be happy to talk to you.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Thanks.

CLINIC: You might want to think about coming in tomorrow between 8 and 5. I wouldn't come real late because you get booked early.

CALLER: OH, all right.

CLINIC: Okay.

CALLER: Could I come like around lunch you think?

CLINIC: Sure. That will be fine.

CALLER: All right.

CLINIC: That will be great.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Thanks.

CLINIC: Bye bye.

CALLER: Bye.
